According to the Public Relations Office of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute, during this scientific visit, students from various fields, including medicine, paramedicine, pharmacy, epidemiology, and biotechnology, became familiar

with the scientific and research activities of the institute by visiting different research sections

Dr. Neda Mehrdad, the Research Vice President of the institute, and Dr. Farsad Nourizadeh, the Vice President for Talented Students at the university, accompanied the students during this research tour.

Participants in the tour visited the physical space and facilities of various research units, including comprehensive laboratories, biosensors, zebrafish, microbiota, modeling, and the research biobank and data center.

In another part of this scientific visit, students visited the innovation and growth center of the institute, where they learned about the operation of accelerators aimed at establishing startups in areas related to endocrinology

Dr. Neda Mehrdad also stated that the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute of Tehran University of Medical Sciences is recognized as a scientific-research hub in the field of health in the country. She mentioned that a significant number of specialists in various research fields have been trained at this institute through advanced training programs, including research PhD, postdoctoral fellowships, research opportunities, physician-researcher programs, elite conscripts, and research internships.
